I founded The Walker Group over 30 years ago when technology (and I) were much younger. At the time, microcomputers (that's what we called them as opposed to the more ubiquitous mainframes and minis of the day) were just making their way into businesses and I knew they would need to be managed professionally. And, while the technology has matured (as have I), the need for good management continues.
I believe that business is incredibly powerful and can be used for tremendous good if we decide to use it for that purpose. I'm proud to have transformed Walker into a social enterprise that puts people above profit and dedicates one-third of its distributed profits to the community.
